Sai vs krita reddit11/18/2023 So anyone out there who doesn't really want an iOS-product and still wants to have the nice drawing abilities of an Ipad: get a surface with 16 GB of RAM (Pro 6 is doing totally fine, maybe Pro 7 is better, but a friend of mine told me that it runs a little less stable, but I don't know that for sure), it's the best!Įdit: just to add a bit to the story: Last friday I a had class in college (I'm in an art class) and the prof asked if anyone had a laptop at hand for playing a video, because he didn't get one that day. This way I can pass stuff between my Surface and my PC with ease, OneNote synchronizes itself and it's over all just a wonderful experience to be able to draw whenever wherever without having to accustom to a new OS! But drawing has no lack whatsoever and as a Windows/Android-User it's much more benficial for me to have another Windows-device than an apple-product that might interfere with my already existing environment. I can even work on my animations and use 3D-models without any issues (besides that it's a bit slow in processing sometimes). So after a week of using the Surface with Clip Studio Paint I can confidentially say that it is definitely up to par with the Ipad if not better. It's problem on the end of PTS, because the program doesn't recognize the pen pressure, maybe it has something to do with N-trig, idk). (Just a side note: Paint Tool Sai doesn't work with the Surface afaik. Dedicated drawing software like Clip Studio Paint and Paint Tool Sai have a much better perfomance and way less lack when it comes to drawing. But when it comes to digital drawing it's by far not the best. PS is a great program, don't get me wrong, I use it a lot myself. You need to know the exact specs of the used Surface to really compare it.The second problem with most reviewers is that they use Photoshop and only Photoshop. But nearly no review really helped, because while they all pin-pointed the exact model of Ipad they were using, they only said 'Pro 6' or 'Pro 7' when it came to the Surface in comparison. Many people told me, that the Surface wasn't as good for drawing as the Ipad. The reason I'm making this post is because I was really struggling to decide between the Surface Pro and the Ipad and maybe other people who want to draw on their device need some help for this decision, too. So, I finally got my Pro 6 (16 GB, i7-processor, 512 GB) last week and I'm amazed.
